The Square House, Gloucester
This project took us to Gloucester for four weeks to remove all cement renders that had been inappropriately applied. We then executed a two coat hydraulic lime render with the re-instatement of stucco lines, followed by five coats of limewash.
Higher Vexford
Higher Vexford, a 15th century farmhouse, came with a tight deadline due to a forthcoming wedding reception being held within the grounds at the beginning of May - so we prayed for good weather! We were instructed to remove all blown, cracked and failing cement renders and synthetic paints. We then applied a three coat lime putty render, executed with a beautiful Scrape & Bag finish and decorated with limewash chosen to match sympathetically with the surrounding curtledge of beautiful red sandstone.
North Newton
Orginally two cottages, this property in North Newton was in a desperate need of lime render works. With a variety of build materials present we employed a three stage lime render application, finished with an beautifully rich ochre limewash.
Lower Vexford
Due to the great success of Higher Vexford House we were further commissioned for specialist works to an old farm estate cottage located within the same hamlet. We finished the property in a matching Scrape & Bag finish with a two coat lime putty render and full linseed oil limewash.
Hallhaze Cottage, Sampford Moor
After a long history of works with Hallhaze Cottage (page 4), we executed full internal lime plaster works with a four coat system. This included replacing lintels and installing bespoke oak shelving.
