Restoration

Pictures on this page demonstrate a complete restoration project executed by Woodlouse Conservation. The property is a 16th Century flint-built estate cottage which required all synthetic and modern plasters, paints and renders to be stripped-off.







Re-application of full lime works took place, including; lime pointing, lime plastering, lime washing and lime rendering. This project held unique interest due to the unearthing of an original inglenook fireplace and English Oak timber works, which were incorporated into the finished project.







During all phases, the building was treated with sympathy and respect for the original structure.
